Church Curious?
For some Church is familiar but for many in the UK Church is unfamiliar.
According to recent statistics, 93% of the UK population have very little contact or no contact with the Church. However, there are over 2.18 billion Christians in the world, many of whom are a part of some kind of Christian Church.
So what is Church in a nut shell?
JESUS
The Church exists because of the Good News of Jesus Christ and this is a message of hope for every single person.
GATHERED
It is a group of ordinary people who gather together on Sundays and throughout the week to worship Jesus, discover more about the Bible, encourage one another in our discipleship*, and pray.
SCATTERED
The church is also scattered as people try to live out an authentic faith and share the message of Jesus in the everyday stuff of life.
*disciples - ordinary people who have decided to follow Jesus and live for Him - essentially apprentices of Jesus.
